Hello! Here is the second installment of a series of book + soap giveaways, just for fun!
This time, I’m including a skein of dk weight wool yarn that I dyed with tickseed sunflowers, a bar of orange spice goat milk soap, and a (gently used) copy of Oh, Pioneers! by Willa Cather (affiliate link). (If you are interested in knowing why I’m giving away used vs. new books, see this post.) Willa Cather is one of my very favorite authors. Maybe you’ve already read this one, but you can always pass the book along to a friend!
For your chance to win, simply leave a comment on this post. I will use good old-fashioned random number generator to choose a winner on Monday, October 23. The winner will be announced within this post and notified via email. Because of the prohibitive cost of international shipping, this giveaway is only open to U.S. residents. However, last time a few who live outside of U.S. asked if you could enter and then pay shipping costs if you win. Yes, that is fine!
*Comments are closed and the winner is Barbara who commented, “I love your hand dyed yarn and that’s a beautiful color! Willa Cather is a wonderful author and I would love to have her book. Thanks for the opportunity.
God bless.”
I know the book by Willy Carther Shadows on the Rock and I love it. If I win, please send the package to my friend, she lives in Atlanta, USA. 😀
Made a vow to read some classics, so Willa Cather might be the first this year [and it’s already October, oh my!]
Thanks for the opportunity Ginny 🙂
Beautiful yarn! And I bet the soap smells amazing too!
Lovely yarn, great author, and I imagine the soap smells scrumptious.
Lovely!
I love the color if this yarn! Lovely giveaway, thank you!
Book, yarn, soap, all lovely !
I love Willa Cather and that yarn looks scrumptious!
She is a new author to me. Will look her up. Thank you for including me in your give away.
Eww Ginny that yarn color is eye candy! Thanks for the opportunity.
Ginny, your blog is a balm.
This is so cool. I love Willa Cather!
Ooh! That is one of the few Cather novels I haven’t read. I love her other books and even read Death Comes for the Archbishop on your rec years ago.
How lovely!
Oh Pioneers is one of my favorite books! With my farming background I can identify with the feeling of oneness with the land.
My teenage son loved reading My Antonia. I bet he’d enjoy reading another Cather book! And so would I.
Lovely
I cannot wait to try your soap! I love your blog!
Perfect color and scent for Autumn
I love Willa Cather! I forget if you have read So Big by Edna Ferber, but if you haven’t you should definitely try it out!
Ooh! Willa Cather is a favorite of mine as well – and I don’t own this title yet. I imagine that soap smells wonderful; I have a bar of your lavender goat milk soap I purchased years ago and it still smells lovely.
Blessings to you and yours,
Melisa
What a lovely color!
What a lovely giveaway.
Love tickseed and never knew it could make such a gorgeous color in yarn. I love soap and I love books. It’s a lovely assortment of goodies.
The golden hue of that yarn is wonderful!
Oh I love Willa Cather! And fall colors. Thank you!
Love Willa Cather! Thank you!
Oh, this is my favorite fall color and I haven’t read this Willa Cather book yet! Maybe I will get lucky.
That tickseed color is amazing!
Hi Ginny,
Always glad to hear from you. Think of you often. Hope you are doing well. Xoxo
Oh my goodness that yarn is just 😍
I always get excited when I see an email from you Ginny. You and your family are very special and I enjoy keeping in touch with you!
I have notecards with this quote by Willa Cather “Where there is great love, there are always miracles.” Love that! Thanks for the generous giveaway.
What a lovely giveaway! You are a blessing to so many!
A great book and beautiful yarn!
Love My Antonia but haven’t read O Pioneers. Beautiful photography too!
So wonderful to see your beautiful faces each post! I bought 2 head scarves for my granddaughter. So adorable anyone deciding whether to buy one just do it!
My sister sent me to your page and I’m glad she did! Lovely fiber 🙂
Hi Ginny, the color of that yarn is luxurious. I liked Willa Cather so much that I designed a self-study class in college for myself where I read all her books.
What is your favorite? I read My Antonia in high school and did not care for it but it is my plan (24 years later) to reread it. I read O Pioneers earlier this year and really enjoyed it but my favorite, at least so far has been Shadows on the Rock. Wow. I just really loved that one.
I’ve only read Willa Cather’s My Antonia. It would be fun to read another by her! And the yarn is lovely.
Thank you for sharing.
What a beautiful design of your yarn, flowers, color and the book!
.
Like both!!
Such a lovely offering, Ginny. Thank you.
Thank you for your generosity and for sharing your words and photos. You are a blessing!
Yarn, soap, and book – all gorgeous!
I love that the soap and yarn are both colors that appear on the cover of the book:) what a lovely giveaway.
Beautiful colored yarn! Thank you Ginny!
Beautiful as always, Ginny! 💕
