Hello! Here is the second installment of a series of book + soap giveaways, just for fun!
This time, I’m including a skein of dk weight wool yarn that I dyed with tickseed sunflowers, a bar of orange spice goat milk soap, and a (gently used) copy of Oh, Pioneers! by Willa Cather (affiliate link). (If you are interested in knowing why I’m giving away used vs. new books, see this post.) Willa Cather is one of my very favorite authors. Maybe you’ve already read this one, but you can always pass the book along to a friend!
For your chance to win, simply leave a comment on this post. I will use good old-fashioned random number generator to choose a winner on Monday, October 23. The winner will be announced within this post and notified via email. Because of the prohibitive cost of international shipping, this giveaway is only open to U.S. residents. However, last time a few who live outside of U.S. asked if you could enter and then pay shipping costs if you win. Yes, that is fine!
*Comments are closed and the winner is Barbara who commented, “I love your hand dyed yarn and that’s a beautiful color! Willa Cather is a wonderful author and I would love to have her book. Thanks for the opportunity.
God bless.”
Thank you for such a generous giveaway! The yarn color is amazing.
Thank you for this blog. It has helped and brought lots of smiles for many years to me as I’ve homeschooled.
Here’s hoping….it’s been awhile since I won something and it would feel good if it was something from your lovely assortment. I’m rooting for the yarn…I have a navy coat and a denim jacket that would compliment that color beautifully. I’ve never tried your soap but I bet it’s wonderful. I know Willa Cather but not familiar with that book. It all sounds good to me. Good luck to everyone and thanks for doing this. How fun.
What a generous gift! I hope I’m picked!
Here’s hoping random generator will pick me. I really enjoy Willa Cather and one can never have too much yarn or soap.😎
Thank you for the chance to win such lively things.
Happy Autumn!
Yarn, soap and a book! One can never have too many of any of these. Thanks for doing the giveaway.
Hi Ginny! The yarn color is beautiful and I would love to help my young daughter learn how to knit a pumpkin with it!!

What a beautiful giveaway to potentially receive! Thank you Ginny! As fall is ushered in, the thought of turning that skein of yarn into something beautiful and enjoying a cup of hot tea while reading a book that is one of your favorites sounds absolutely delightful. Thank you for the opportunity.

I love your blog. The yarn is beautiful and I have ordered your yarn and creams before with great satisfaction.
Having flashbacks of the good ol’ days of the blog. The yarn is an amazingly beautiful color.
What a beautiful color! I just got back from a trip to Maine and was in awe of the beauty of fall. Spectacular!
You are so generous!
Thank you
I love orange spice anything but have never used goat soap. And that shade of orange yarn – yummy for fall knitting!
I will check out that book even if I don’t win!
I really enjoy Willa Cather, too! And the color of the yarn is lovely! Thanks for the chance to win these goodies.
Beautiful yarn, and an awesome book!
Oh BOY could I use a pick me up. It would surely make my day to receive something this amazing in the mail. I know it is computer generated but if it is meant to be, it’s meant to be! I was just lamenting the other day how I haven’t gotten a real letter in the mail for almost a YEAR (but I haven’t written one lately either…)
My eldest daughter is getting married in less than three months! She got engaged a month ago! (We are all about short engagements for purity’s sake but certainly not for sanity’s!) I know you’ve been through this with a son- but the whole throwing a DIY CHEAP *(but not cheap looking) wedding is proving to be a BIT stressful for me! Think: make food/feed over 300 people from our freezers. Use as many dried flowers as possible. Challenges make me think more creatively so it will all work out in the end. Thankfully, my daughter is no bride-zilla and is so relaxed and go with the flow. She just wants to be married. 😉
(Well, I ALMOST wrote a letter just now… 😉 ) Thanks Ginny, for the giveaway!
I just finished this book and was recommending it to my daughter! The yarn color is beautiful! Thanks for offering up a chance to win 😊
Beautiful yarn! Sweet giveaway!
Thanks for a chance to win!
This is really generous! I live in Canada, but have family in the States I could ship to. I’m starting my maternity leave next month and have high but probably very unrealistic hopes of having more sitting time to knit and read 🙂
I love Willa Cather! Many years ago as a homeschooler in the ’90’s I did a book report on “Death Comes for the Archbishop.” (I also love your soap. ❤️)
A lovely giveaway!!. I live in Canada so willing to pay shipping. Can picture a cozy pair of mittens in your yarn.
Please choose me! I would love to read that book!
This is so lovely! Thank you for creating this giveaway! 🧡

I love Willa Cather, but it has been many years since I read O Pioneers! I am a huge fan of your yarn, too. Thanks for the giveaway.
Lovely yarn. Thank you for your generosity.
Would love to enter and as I am in Canada would pay any shipping, the yarn is lovely.
Thank you for sharing your talents!
Beautiful!
That yarn is beautiful! I have never read that book either.
What a fun idea to have the giveaway! I love Oh Pioneers. Thank you for the chance.
Try as I might when I dye a skein of yarn the fibers stick together a bit. I am as careful as I can be with the temperature changes and not stirring it a lot. Any suggestions or does this just happen? I just dyed a skein with madder and it came out a beautiful dark pumpkin, but not the pink I thought aI would get. Beautiful none the less.
