Today is Beatrix’s 15th birthday! She recently volunteered to model some of my headscarves and I’m sure you are as shocked as I am about how grown up she looks! (Here’s a look back at her at age two.) She dyed her hair with henna a couple of weeks ago (it’s temporary?) and it’s been an adjustment to get used to her as a redhead, though I do think it suits her! Of course, I miss her wild toddler hair.
I have posted my last big shop update of the year and my final batch of headscarves. One of the reasons I dyed these is because my family loves to wear them and most of ours were lost (the other reason is college tuition-ha!) I receive a lot of positive feedback on these scarves and don’t think there are any others quite like them out there, so I am glad to be able to offer them sometimes. I had ten undyed and stashed away after the last update and dyed small batches of cochineal pink and purple since those sold out quickly last time. These are great worn as headscarves but are also perfect to add a bit of color when worn tied around your neck.
In this update you will find restocks of goat’s milk soap and calendula salve along with some cutting boards (there are only four) and wood sealer. I also have a limited run of a new lip balm that I made for myself and thought I’d offer it for sale as well. I’ve been a longtime user of Burt’s Bees, but wanted something free from sunflower, soy, and canola oil. I’m really happy with my simple formula. They will make cute stocking stuffers!
Thank you so much for supporting my shop!
Yes, I am quite shocked to see how Beatrix has grown up and so quickly it seems! π She’s beautiful! I’ve been following you since she was just a little tyke and now look at her… a lovely young lady! When did that happen? π
Anyway, I was SO happy and excited that I got to order a few of your items in your shop this time, before they were all sold out! So many times it seemed like a lot of the things were gone by the time I ever got around to checking it out! So I’m thrilled! I even got the color scarf that I love!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family, Ginny!
Wishing you Beatrix a Happy Birthday Year of happiness and Blessings
Happy Thanksgiving

Beautiful Beatrix!
Happy Birthday Beatrix, a beautiful, sweet young lady!!
Ginny, I’ve been following you since she was little. You have such a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing with us. God bless you all, π
Have been reading your blog since Beatrix was that little. She’s as lovely now as ever and the red hair suits her – gorgeous. What a perfect model for your lovely headscarves. Thank you for always so willingly sharing glimpses of your life. I always am inspired!
Happy birthday! The photo is lovely. Love the green head scarf with her new hair color (which is very nice). The photo looks like it should be a bood cover.
Happy birthday, beautiful Beatrix! I read your blog when she was that wild, sweet toddler!
I can’t believe I have been following you for so many years, I thought that was Larkspur. Beatrix is so grown up and I’ve always loved her big smile, she caught us off guard with such a seriousness here. She’s gorgeous and the red hair suits her gorgeously.
Happy 15th birthday lovely young lady. Your red hair is very becoming to you! May God bless you in this upcoming year. Lovely post Ginny.
Happy 15th birthday Beatrix May your special day be everything you want it to be and more. You look so pretty.
Happy Thanksgiving

What a beautiful girl you have. Her hair is lovely! I use henna myself, and have done for years. I love how it picks out my greys as highlights. If Beatrix used natural henna, it is a permanent colour. Happy birthday Beatrix!
Oh, my goodness! I can’t believe she’s 15. Happiest birthday, lovely girl! She looks like Anne of Green Gables with that red hair. It does suit her.
Would love updates on all of your kiddos.
Wow! Beatrix looks like she is right out of a nineteenth century novel!!!!!!!!! She is braver than I have ever been in regards to hair. It looks good. But now that I have gray hair I can’t do it. Supposedly it is not good to put henna on gray hair unless you want it to look bad! Anyway, she looks great! Ah, youth!
Oh my goodness!!! Beatrix is so beautiful!!! Breathtaking!! Happy birthday to your sweet teen!!!
Beatrix is a beautiful young lady.
Happy Birthday Beatrix Wishing you a day of joy and a year of happiness and blessings God Bless
Happy,Blessed Thanksgiving Ginny and your entire family.

Wish Beatrix a very happy 15th birthday π₯³
Dying her hair, which absolutely suits her. Is a complete upgrade to painting her face π
Happy Birthday to your dear daughter! My how the years have flown! I am of course, *aware*, especially since my βbabyβ is now 21 (dies a little bit), but it is nevertheless a tad startling to see the evidence of time, washed away, in the images of favorite bloggers’ children! (I have read yours for I am not even sure how long β I began blogging in 2006, and I am not sure when you began but I know I have been here since your eldest ones were very small) … the henna suits her! And the scarves are just lovely.
Happy birthday dearest Beatrix! And yay, I finally happened to be on my computer right when the shop updated for once!!!
Happy 15th birthday Beatrix! What a beautiful young lady! ππ
