Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

I’m knitting a scarf.  I feel like I’ve been knitting this scarf forever, and I have only just passed the halfway mark.  I really want to cast on for a sweater for myself.  But first I must finish this scarf.  I must.

In more exciting news, Jonny and I are fighting over Homegrown & Handmade.  Not really, we’re pretty good at taking turns.  But we are both reading it.  The title pretty much sums up the content of the book.  It’s a nice “big picture” sort of book with chapters covering a large range of topics, and really just touching the surface on each.  It’s sort of a springboard book, one you read to help decide what topics you want to really delve deeply into.  Jonny and I love everything and want to do everything.  We’ve always had that problem.

Below is a linky list if you’d like to link up and join the Yarn Along.
(1) Make sure the link you submit is to the URL of your blog post or your specific Flickr photo and not your main blog URL or Flickr Photostream. Please be sure and link to your current Yarn Along post, and not a Yarn Along post from a previous week.
(2) Include a link back to this post in your blog post or on your flickr photo page so that others who may want to join the Yarn Along can find us!
(3) If you have any trouble linking up, just email me and I will help you!
You can also join the Flickr Yarn Along group to share your knitting and reading photos anytime!

Feather and Fan…I feel like we’re fighting this battle to get finished, lol. We must keep saying, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, just like the little train that could.

Found your blog through PW and love it! Happy to vote for you. 🙂 also love the story of the brandy bottle. My mom tells a similar one of a 6 yr old me picking a beer bottle up out of the ditch on my way home from the school bus because I thought it “belonged” to my uncle! Lol

I’m linking up for the first time and I’m more than a little excited to be doing so. here’s to many weeks of knitting (that’s a given0 and reading (that’s a little harder around here). Good luck in the Homies, the internet is a flutter with all the nominations right now it seems.

    Hi, Ginny,

I have never commented before, though I have been lurking around on your blog for ages. It’s really a great blog and lots of fun to read! Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I signed up and voted for you. Hope you win!

I also wanted to let you know that deal with Beatrix and the brandy bottle was hilarious. Kids are so funny.

    Good Luck!
