We are Liz and Mike, a pair of soon to be off grid homesteaders, living in the northwoods of Wisconsin. We share our life with a trio of wildly creative and beautiful unschooled boys, an English Setter called Bailey, and a reclusive black cat who wandered into the house a few years ago and never left.

In the shop you’ll find an ever changing variety of natural, sustainable products including our homemade soaps, tree branch buttons and ornaments, upcycled clothing, knitting patterns and hand dyed yarns.

  8. I would love the dryer balls. I had never heard of such things, but don’t use fabric softener or dryer sheets due to alllergies. These sound perfect.

  26. These would be wonderful! I don’t use dryer sheets because I have a little one with very sensitive skin, but I would LOVE to try these!

  28. We would love those. We have a dog who loves to eat Kleenex, and we knew she wouldn’t differentiate between a Kleenex and a chemical-coated dryer sheet, so we gave those up a decade ago. Dryer balls would be a welcome addition to our house.
