Right now I have a combination of sick and healthy children; children who went to bed on time, and children trying to push the bedtime limits. I had a friend over this evening for a knitting night. Keats and Larkspur thought that meant that they should stay up extra late to knit as well. It was actually rather cute.
Yesterday I attended a very beautiful, but very sad Requiem Mass for Matthew Wise, who passed away a few days ago. Please keep his family in your prayers.
I feel very steeped in my local community. I feel very grateful to be here. I am very grateful for this blogging community as well. I’ll be back hopefully tomorrow with more to share. I just wanted to quickly check in with you as I am finding it hard these days to be here as much as I used to.
p.s. Activity for children (wasn’t my idea, I think they got this from a Fancy Nancy book):: Fill bucket with warm water, (salts/herbs/etc. optional) add a generous handful or two of marbles. Children soak their feet for “spa” experience and use their toes to remove marbles from the water. Whoever gets the most marbles wins.
Floor gets cleaned in the process. Mommy soon after bans marbles from the house for the next two years because of baby choking fears.
