Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a single photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

This week I started reading The Midwife: A Memoir of Birth, Joy, and Hard Times, after seeing it on a Yarn Along post!  I am only a couple chapters in, but am enjoying it.  I love reading about midwives, and am trying to reach a place where I don’t cringe every time I read about a woman giving birth.  I have had three home births myself and am hoping to lose some of my anxiety over birth before this next little one is born!
There is also a stack of new board books on my nightstand that I will surely be reading to Beatrix twice a day for weeks as they are the new ones she received for her birthday.
On my needles:  I finished knitting Phoebe Mouse in time for Bea’s birthday and will share more about that in a couple of days, Larkspur’s red sweater is still sitting with little progress made, and pictured here is what was supposed to be a birthday pullover for Bea, but will maybe be a Christmas sweater instead.  It’s the In threes baby cardigan, in baby alpaca (knit picks),  that I will modify and make into a long sleeved tunic type sweater.
Below is a linky list if you’d like to add a link to your own Yarn Along photo.

(1) Make sure the link you submit is to the URL of your blog post or your specific Flickr photo and not your main blog URL or Flickr Photostream.
(2) Include a link back here in your blog post or flickr photo page.
(3) Thanks for playing along!

Just a reminder, you can also join the Flickr Yarn Along Group to share your knitting and reading photos anytime!

A very important p.s.!  There will not be a Yarn Along next week, but we will resume the Wednesday after Thanksgiving!!
