From the moment we sang happy birthday to her this morning, and were rewarded by a huge smile and a bit of dancing, to her smiles over her gifts, we had a wonderful time celebrating Beatrix’s second birthday. She loved blowing out her candles, and exclaimed “again! again!” after she blew them out each time. I think they were re lit a half dozen times. She also really enjoyed eating the frosting off her lemon cupcakes. I think she would have been happy with just her birthday dress and all the attention and singing, but there were all those homemade gifts as well. Not to mention random items that her siblings discovered and wrapped in play silks to present to her. She loved it all.
Tonight, I am actually a bit relieved to take a break from crafting! Yarn Along will be up a bit late tomorrow morning. Somehow between yesterday and today, I forgot that tomorrow is Wednesday!
