My new scarves are available in my shop! I have been working on this batch of scarves for so many months now, that it feels kind of crazy to be finally listing them! Beatrix volunteered to model them and I am very grateful for her help. She makes them all look so gorgeous. As I told you previously, these are the same organic cotton scarves that I have been making and dyeing for years, but I am no longer using plant and insect based dyes. These have all been dyed with Procion fiber reactive dyes and I am very happy with the process and the colors I have achieved and I hope you will love them too! One of the beautiful aspects of going this route, is that these colors are repeatable and they are also very colorfast. I had fancy plans to give each color a unique name based in literature, then I decided to use birds as inspiration, then thought I would expand to all of nature using Werner’s nomenclature of colors, and my mind went round, and round, and round. Ultimately, there aren’t any fancy names, though some took on names of their own in the process, some just got descriptive titles, and each is labeled in the listing header.
In addition to scarves there are plenty of salves, lip balms, and festive soaps available. I’m also running a little calendula salve sale. I think this year’s calendula salve is the best ever owing to some tweaks I made in my process.
Thank you all for your support over the years! I am so thankful for all of you!
I agree with all those who agree that the scarves are beautiful, and Beatrice makes them look even more beautiful! I wish I could buy one of each color <3
