Job received his First Holy Communion on May 1st. It was a joy preparing him for his big day over the past year. He lost a top tooth the night before, so that made for a super cute smile. Everyone wanted to help him get ready so the kids took turns adjusting and tucking. His friend Becket (Istra’s younger brother) received his FHC at the same Mass. You can see photos of them together as babies at the end of this post, on the day Becket was born! I love that they shared this special day.

Congratulations, Job! We also had a First Communion this year, the day after our baby was baptized! (Amusingly, the daughter who received her First Communion had been baptized the day before her older brother’s First Communion eight years before) I did click on your link to see the two boys as babies, and I’m glad I did because not only was it a darling picture, but also you had some good advice about teenage parenting that I needed to read! ;).
