My kids love to pour through the pages of their catalogs and so do I. I’ve probably been shopping at Nova for special gifts for nearly as long as they’ve been in business. I love using our wooden calendar to mark the days and I admit that I buy Ostheimer wooden animals as much for me as for my kids. The interlocking wooden blocks featured in this post are our favorite for building, and I pull these spinning tree tops out at Christmas (and then keep them put away for the rest of the year.)   11. We love the interlocking wooden blocks! Both of my boys, now nine and eleven, pull them out regularly. Over the years they have been castles, forts, mazes and so much more…the older they get the more I cherish the times they connect through imaginative play. I know that soon enough they will grow past this stage but I’ll tuck the blocks away for my future grand babies.

  28. Oh my gosh, what lovely sweet things- these are the kinds of toys that we played with at my grandma’s house- they were hers as a child! We all grew up with a Waldorf doll, made by Grandma for us! I named mine Ginger!❤️
