Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me every Wednesday to share a single photo of what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Share your photo on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us!~

I don’t know about this sweater…I’ve got another four or five inches to go on the body, and then sleeves.  Bea’s birthday is the 16th. This month is shaping up to be a little bit crazy, but I’m doing my best. We’ll see!

I bought a copy of People Knitting a few weeks ago. It’s a book of old photographs of people knitting (obviously! 🙂 ) and I love it so much! I haven’t finished looking at all the photos yet. I’m trying to make it last!

Ginny, have you read The Snow Child, by Eowyn Ivey? I often love your book choices and I’ve thought of you while reading this book. Though we haven’t met, based on some of the books you like, I think you’d love it!

Yes! You are a good friend (and a little bit of a sucker) the hat is absolutely perfect for a little newborn pumpkin head! Love, love, love!
Btw, I feel sort of famous being part of a blog post?
    Thank you for everything!

Hi Ginny, love the sweater and now I want the book! Knitting crazy here as well, for two new babies. One already here, at 33 weeks and Downs. Little Maisy is holding her own with a couple issues. Please pray for her. Then the next one is due in April. I love knitting the little things, as it takes my hands a while to get the bigger ones done. Old hands are a bit slower I have found.
    Happy Autumn to your family!

I’m so amazed with all you get done! My children are grown and gone, I seem to have lost all of my time management skills. I’m betting you will be done on time! Lovely book.

That’s a great autumn/winter colour you are using. A nice warm looking colour that I’m sure will keep a little one toasty warm when she wears it.

I predict you finish the sweater but if not soon after the deadline 🙂 I’ve been knitting small projects and finishing in record time! I have a few more things to knit before Thanksgiving and then I can relax a bit.
