Celebrating Saint Teresa of Calcutta {In the Loft giveaway}

saint-teresa-of-calcutta-7102

My little girls have a small, beloved collection of Sue Dow’s hand painted wooden figures.  Each of them also has a wishlist of those they would like to add to their collections.  They fussed at me recently when Sue sent me St. Teresa of Calcutta and I told them that she was for me!  I love St. Teresa as so many do, and I am excited that Sue has added her to the saints in her shop, In the Loft.  I think most of you who read my blog regularly know Sue’s work, but if not, you can read more about her and her art here.

Today, Sue would like to give one Small Things reader a St. Teresa of Calcutta hand-painted wooden figure.  In addition, she is offering 10% off all saint figures in her shop using the coupon code ALLSAINTS10.  The discount is good through Friday.  All Saints Day is coming up soon, followed closely by Advent!

For your chance to win, leave a comment on this post.  Comments are closed and the winner is Clarice, who commented, “Beautiful. Would love to have.”

Thanks, Sue!

    “Let no one ever come to you without leaving better & happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.” from Saint Theresa. I love her and your dolls are so lovely.

    It was a joy to see Mother Teresa become St. Teresa. She was a giving and loving soul to all she met. I love the kindness that always showed in her eyes. We are blessed to have seen her work in our lifetime.

    This reminded me of a sermon a visiting priest gave where he asked us who our saint was. He gave many examples of why we needed a saint to pray to in our life. I was moved when he asked the congregation on how many had a saint and then asked if that saint had come thru/spoke to them in difficult times. I don’t really have one saint, but I have a few that I am partial too, just depends where my need is at the time.
