Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me every Wednesday to share a single photo of what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Share your photo on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us!~

Yarn Along-3463

I stayed up too late finishing The Winthrop Woman last night.  I really enjoyed it.  Actually, it was a very good week for both reading and knitting, as I got to start the mosaic part of my Emiliana shawl. The rows are full of slipped stitches and go quickly.  I would have made even more progress had I not been so glued to The Winthrop Woman!

Ginny, the mosaic work is gorgeous on your shawl. I will have to look up that book. Thank you for hosting Yarn Along and for the book recommendation.

I love all the patterns I “discover” by reading your Yarn Along posts. This one is no exception. The two-color slip-stitch part is stunning, and I love that it only requires two skeins of sock yarn. I’ve added this pattern to my list – thanks!

What a nice pattern. I personally love a two colour pattern like white and blue or white and purple.

I love it when I fall so deeply in a book like that. It’s rare, but when it happens, it’s so delicious!

So glad you enjoyed the book. It is one of my all time favourites. My knitting has lots of slipped stitches too , to create the pattern. So satisfying.

love the way the mosaic is showing with the purple yarn. I will have to flip through that book if and when I see it. I’m trying not to add books to my huge pile of knitting but then where is the fun in that??
