AndeeKF Fiber Arts and Photography {giveaway}

Today’s giveaway is from Andee, whom you might know from her blog, Match the Pictures.  She’s been a regular part of our Yarn Along here at Small Things for as long as I can remember.  I am very pleased to be sharing this space with her today!

Hello!  I am an independent knit wear designer. I really enjoy designing and releasing my own knitting patterns. I love getting inspiration for my patterns from different yarns. I am most loyal to alpaca yarn since I have alpacas. I enjoy making patterns for hand spun, small fiber mill processed yarn and indie dyers.

I think one of the most rewarding things about making knitting patterns is to see all the wonderful garments people make from my patterns. I like to design items that can be worn as an everyday item.  I am looking forward to releasing quite a few new patterns in the near future. My design process starts with an idea in my head and then I do a sketch. Once I find the yarn I want to use for the project I make a swatch and type up the pattern once I know the gauge.  Then I knit it and wear it. As I like to say I need to field test it. Then I might make several modifications and knit it again. Once I am pleased with the result I release the pattern to my test knitters. After the test knitting is done I release the pattern.

I enjoy the whole process so much and with all the support I get for the patterns I already have released it encourages me to keep designing. When I am not helping my parents out at their alpaca farm, or helping my kids with the school work I am either spinning yarn, knitting or writing patterns.

For the giveaway I will be giving away each of my patterns to one winner:

Treasure Vest, Treasure Cardigan, Joey Infinity Scarf, Standing Stones Cowl, Outlander Cowl, Postcard Cardigan, Tidal Wave, Penny Infinity Scarf

In addition, I am offering $1.00 off all my patterns for Small Things readers using the code SMALLTHINGS2015 from October 10th – October 17th.

For your chance to win, simply leave a comment on this post!  Comments are closed and the winner is Cassie, who commented, “What beautiful patterns! I would love to win!”

Thanks, Andee!
