Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me every Wednesday to share a single photo of what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Share your photo on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

Yarn Along-2143

(Thank you for all the kind comments the past couple of days on Aibhie’s Hat!  I really appreciate that!)

I’m slowly getting closer to beginning the border on my Settler Shawl.  I LOVE the way this yarn is knitting up.

I have been picking up my copy of The Improbable Shepherd in the evenings before bed.  It’s lovely.  It’s the sequel to Sylvia’s Farm, and I loved that one as well.  This one is written in the same style, and feels like it picked up where Sylvia’s Farm left off.  The chapters almost stand alone, so I have tried to save it, just reading one here and there.

I am so grateful for your suggesting this author and 2 books earlier. I am about to start the second one as well and will be turning to these books often for the “touch” of real country life and country love, and animal love. Her life and writing are wonderful and so inspiring.

    Hello Ginny,
I like your Shawl and the Color. It´s perfect for a rainy day. What is it?
It seems the Color Frangipane. Is that right?

    Best regards
    Conny

The shawl is called Settler Shawl. 🙂 The color is petroglyph. I like it a lot, but it wasn’t what I expected based on the photo on the website.
