Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

I feel like I am finally making some real progress on my shawl!  I am not on the brink of finishing it quite yet, but I think I’ll make my goal of mid-May.

I finished reading The Year of the Goat, and haven’t gotten started on a new book quite yet.  I have been spending a lot of time browsing through our new copy of Nature Anatomy. I have long been a fan of the author/illustrator Julia Rothman, having bought her Farm Anatomy years ago. I could spend hours looking through these books, and so could my kids!

My first time linking up! I just found this today and thought, “What a great idea! Books AND yarn.” I look forward to future Yarn-Alongs and seeing all the great projects others are working on and books they are reading.

Progress is always good news. I am still working on my husband’s sweater and have promised myself that I will not do another post on that until it is completely finished. Hopefully next week I will have it ready to share with all of you.

How wonderful to be making progress on the shawl! I keep starting projects instead of finishing them…

I loved Farm Anatomy! I’ll have to look for Nature Anatomy at the library, I know I’ll love that one too. 🙂

So technically it isn’t a ‘yarn’ project but I joined in anyway. I do have a shawl I’m knitting next with my first ever Madtosh yarn, so yummy I cannot wait to begin!

We love the book “Farm Anatomy” and actually gave a copy out to nieces and nephews for Christmas one year. I didn’t know about this “Nature Anatomy.” Uh oh…
