Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

I’m afraid that it’s hard to tell, but my shawl did get a little bigger this week.  I feel like I am progressing slowly on this one, and I need to have it finished by mid-May!

I am nearing the end of sweet Kara’s book.  What a gift she continues to be.

I have not done a yarn along in so long. I got to work at the yarn shop in my town last week and I fell in love with a pattern the owner had knit up…It will be very useful when I am finished in 12 years…it is a lot of stockinette . But that is where I am at STILL with my knitting…easy, brainless patterns. You would love this pattern and it looks so cute on. It would be perfect for nursing!

Now that you have gotten a good start the rows will get longer but the knitting goes faster. I am knitting the same pattern and it has gone much faster in recent days, I can see progress. Love the color of your shawl for your sister.

Your shawl is beautiful. I decided I needed to buy the pattern! Have a wonderful knitting/stitching week…

When I was knitting my Follow Your Arrow shawl I would only get 2 rows done in an hour when I got toward the end. I thought I would never finish it! That project was by far the hardest and longest thing that I’ve knit so far – but I’m so happy I stuck with it. Funny how some projects just seem to fly off the needles and others we really have to work at.

It’s it amazing how it doesn’t look like we are making much progress with our knitting and then poof! it’s huge? !
