Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading (though not at the same time!), and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

This is Larkspur’s birthday week and I’ve been busy working on a couple of gifts for her.  I knitted Miss Dandelion’s little kerchief, but that’s about it as far as knitting goes.

I’ve been reading little snippets of Sylvia’s Farm at every opportunity.  The chapters are short and each is really a stand alone story, or journal entry of sorts.  I love this book.  It’s simple and good.  I think that is so much of what I seek in my own life:  the Good and the simple.

“…What shall be completed today, this wonderful one, with fourteen hours left in it, and what shall spill over into an equally full tomorrow?”  -Sylvia Jorrin in Sylvia’s Farm

Your book sounds like a good one for me- I need some “simple” in my life right now. Putting this book on my reading list. And thank you for linking that Posie website- it is so sweet. I have some little girls who would love one of those softies. I love your box and am always excited to see a new post from you in my inbox. I always learn or find something new on your blog.
