When I asked for recommendations for “happy” books a few weeks back, Fred Chappell’s I Am One of You Forever
I took this photo Tuesday afternoon, with plans to bind off my Simmer Dim Tuesday night. As I type this Tuesday evening, I am hoping that my plans work out later tonight when everyone is in bed. It’s a picot bind off, so it will take a little while.

Fred Chappell lives in a nearby town and I met him years ago. A lovely man. Makes reading his books that more enjoyable. Hope you enjoy it, as well!
Fred Chappell is a really good writer. Years ago I read several of his books. The only one I could not get into was “The Gaudy Place”. Not sure why. Maybe if I tried it now I would appreciate it.

Love that blue color. I can’t wait to see it completed. I sure wish you would do a video some time showing your knitting and hear you talk. I imagine you’ve got a soft gentle voice…and be able to hear the chaos in the background of all your dear children and husband. I simply don’t know how you do it. I felt accomplished making taco meat for the fridge and browning freezer burnt hamburger for our German Shepherds, cleaning up the kitchen, and starting a new knitted hat pattern last night. I did come across another blogger that has 7 children that I found on Frontier Girl’s site. They reminded me of you…she knits and the kids are talented like yours.

I also am looking forward to seeing it! it’s such a vivid and beautiful blue! Also will love to hear about this possible happy book. Did I ever tell you about Elizabeth Goudge’s _Scent of Water_? It transformed my vision; I was given this gift of hope at the end of my first read of it and remember all colours seemed brighter, the red berries outside just gleaming red… anyway, I highly recommend this and it is a beautiful read.
