From my reading on the afternoon of Christmas Eve:

The Word of God uttered in Christ’s human life is a folk song.
In it is all the primal love and joy and sorrow of all the world.

We hear it in the voices we know best: our own children’s voices, the voices of our parents, wives, husbands, and friends.
We hear it in laughter and tears, tuned in to the dullness of our hearing, tuned to the beating of our hearts.
We hear it as sweet and clear as bird’s song in Nazareth.
The song of the Incarnation is a folk song.
It is the song of the mother rocking the cradle.
It is the song of the children singing their nursery rhymes.
It is the song of the shepherd calling his sheep.
It is the song of the lover standing at the door.
It is the song of the bridegroom singing to his bride.”

Is that honey candy you are pulling? I grew up making honey candy and we make it on Halloween, but i have never met anybody else that makes it. 1 cup honey, 1 cup sugar, and a pinch of baking soda?

And I love seeing all the beautiful knits the children are wearing, and the lovely church photos, and your wonderful tree, and your growing children, and oh my but I’ve never seen pine cones that big! Looking forward to the New Year and enjoying more of your family from my northern existence (but I kind of feel like I live next door to you).
Thank you!! Aren’t those pinecones amazing? I had Jonny pull over on the side of the road so that I (and the kids) could gather them up from a stand of longleaf pines in North Carolina last summer.

My friend Lori made it in memory of our friend Sarah. http://theclayrosarygirl.blogspot.com/2014/04/anchor-bead.html. She used Sculpey clay and stamps to make the impressions and then painted it.
Does she sell them do you know and if so how much are they??
