Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading (though not at the same time!), and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

I have had little to no knitting time this week. I have a terrible sinus infection and at the end of the day I don’t feel like doing anything!  I am also struggling to finish Larkspur’s Leksak.  Two beige sleeves just don’t make for exciting knitting.  I must persevere though, so I can move on to all the fun and colorful small projects I have planned!

I’m reading a collection of Wilkie Collins short stories called After Dark, and it is pretty fantastic!  Generally speaking, I think I am becoming a real fan of short stories.

Seth and I are a little obsessed with trees right now, and specifically oaks.  We’ve been spending lots of time with field guides and our Remarkable Trees of Virginia book.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you celebrating tomorrow! And prayers for safe travels to those of you traveling.

I’ve been thinking I need to come back to Yarn Along. I’ve just been knitting “Grandmother’s Favorite” dish cloths because I still have many yards of cotton yarn that was given to me!

So sorry to hear of your sinus infection! If it doesn’t get better soon, by all means go and see your Dr. and get some antibiotics for it. In my book, sinus infections rank right up there with throbbing migraine headaches and toothaches.

Best wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving for one and all in your family.

If you like Wilke Collins short stories, you should try his novels. They are long, but very intriguing and very good. I just finished all his novels and now I’m reading the short ones.
