Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

DSC_8959I didn’t intend to read the sequel to Ishmael, but in fact, I am.  I started Self-Raised Or, From the Depths within minutes of finishing Ishmael.  It picks up right where the story ended.

I did plan to cast on for another Leksak as soon as I finished Beatrix’s and I did just that yesterday.  Larkspur laughed when I held up those first couple of rows to her and exclaimed, “Larkspur, look at the progress I’m already making on your sweater!”  I’m knitting hers in the same yarn that I used for Bea’s, but a different colorway (mushroom.)

Someone probably has already suggested this, but I recommend The Hidden Hand, also by E.D.E.N Southworth. It’s a great read!

I was just like you – picked up the sequel the moment after I finished Ishmael. Loved them both. And love your work too.
