[…] but I wanted to do a Yarn Along post even though Ginny isn’t coordinating it this week. She did post, but I know that was more about the holiday than the blog ring thing. Plus, hey look! I […]
Lovely photos! Your children are precious. I was wondering if you would share where you found that wooden bird shawl pin?
My husband Jonny made that!
Amazing! He has a talent! I would love to learn to make one 🙂
Ginny, do you get the Magnificat? If not, I hope someone who does will send you the front cover of the December issue because the painting of the Virgin Mary has a face just like yours – beautiful! I’d do it, but I live in Mexico and whether you’d receive the picture in good shape (or at all) is somewhat uncertain. And what a great photo journal of a perfect country Christmas – thanks for taking the time to do this post.
I did get the Christmas issue. I’ll have to take a closer look at the cover!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you & your family Ginny….
much love~~~
merry Christmas Ginny 🙂
I was looking at your holiday prep pictures again – are the kids making maple candy? If so can you do a tutorial? I would love to try this with my son. Thanks!
No, they were pouring melted beeswax into molds. I would love to make maple candy though!
What a lovely, cozy scene! If those red dresses are form Hann Andersson, I ordered the same ones for my granddaughters Christmas presents. My daughter said they loved them and they looked just as beutiful as your daughters.
Arghhh.. the spelling mistakes!
Yes! I ordered them big for last Christmas so they could wear them for two years! They love them!
What nice photos. I so enjoy reading about your family. Happy New Year to you and yours from a fellow Virginian.
Your pictures fill me with such peace! Thank you!!!! I am going to learn how to knit in the New Year. I love your little girl’s shawl with the bird pin.
Blessed Christmas!

Beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to share. We just celebrated our last adult Christmas, as my newly married daughter is expecting a baby. So your pictures are a hint of things to come.

What a beautiful set of pictures. Looks like there was much merriment and joy at your house.
Can you tell me what you were making with the molds? Is that wax?
Merry Christmas!
