Today I am pleased to bring you a giveaway from a sweet mama named Veronika who introduced my family to Barefoot Books a few months ago.  I have to say that I am impressed with the thoughtful nature of each of the Barefoot titles that we have read, our favorites being “Mama Panya’s Pancakes,” “Listen, Listen,” and “The Girl with the Brave Heart.”  Veronika is sharing a bit about herself and Barefoot Books today:

“I first became involved with Barefoot Books in 2009 because of my daughter’s love of books and my desire to stay at home with her while she is growing up.  I am now very excited to share my love for beautiful books with my daughter and her younger sister.  I love that Barefoot Books offer what I think is essential in life – enthusiasm for reading, creativity and discovery.

My own love for books and reading developed very early on in my life and I remember reading under the covers with a flashlight as a child.  When I was old enough to have a job I sometimes dreamed about being a librarian or working at a bookstore.  It never happened – until now.   12. We just ran across a Barefoot Book for the first time this morning at the Dentist’s office- a World Atlas- and we were VERY impressed with the quality, art, and substance. So excited to find this in the Feedly box when I got home! Ginny always seems to find the coolest stuff. 🙂

  21. The books that interest me are “Mama Panya’s Pancakes” and “I Took The Moon For A Walk”. The little puppets are great too, my kids love puppets!

  22. my parents have the “Listen, Listen” book. It’s wonderful! Books are treasures here in our house, we have a hard time even getting rid of ones we don’t like! Ones we love get read and read and read!

  25. I’ve read a few of these books- African Animals and the Pancake one and have loved them. I am always looking out for lovely children’s books as my daughter devours them. What a great resource!

  34. Having just spent way too much of my study time looking at the Barefoot books website, I return to say that “The Girl with the Brave Heart” and “Mama Panya’s Pancakes” interest me the most!

  35. What beautiful books. In first grade my daughter’s class focused on food and agriculture around the world and Mama Panya’s Pancakes was one of the books they used!
