That if I show you pictures of my pregnant self, that you won’t use the words “about to pop” in your comment. I get that a lot, and I find it a bit disturbing. I usually respond with, “I hope not.”

Beatrix thinks this one is really funny. I guess I’m giving my, “I’m warning you,” face.

My real motivation for asking Jonny to take these photos of me at 36 weeks pregnant(!!!) was to show off the shawl I received as a gift last week. I’m in love with it. It’s such a perfect neutral shade, a beautiful pattern that I wouldn’t dare attempt myself, and it dresses up my brown velour maternity pants just a bit, right?

Thank goodness I have Beatrix to help hold this big thing up.

You look gorgeous, and so young! So precious to have photos at this stage.
the reason i flip over to this site as oftne as i can…..you are beautiful, your family is beautiful and your pictures are beautiful!!!
thank you for sharing with us.
LOVE NEVER FAILS!!!
A lovely shawl on a lovely lady!
You look so beautiful and that shawl is truly gorgeous.
awww…you look beautiful and that shawl is gorgeous- such a sweet gift!
You are BEAUTIFUL! Enjoy these final weeks as much as you can…
I never understood the talk about pregnant women glowing – I certainly didn’t! At least, not in a good way. But you do! You really look lovely.
And my goodness, seeing you at 36 weeks reminds me of how truly uncomfortable that last month is. How quickly we forget! Hang in there, it is so worth it the second we hold our new little bundle.
PS – Little Beatrix looks adorable and as pretty as her mama!
I found your blog shortly before my first child was born. My second child was born about 6 weeks after Silas. And I guess my third is due a week before you’re due this time. I keep telling myself, “Nothing is sexier than a woman who’s got some experience.” But it’s hard not to feel that everyone else has a bump that looks better than one’s own. 🙂 That being said, you do look fantastic.
You look awesome!! Seriously! I love the shawl too!
These are precious photos and little Bea, lovely. You are so richly blessed.
Well. that baby bump might be out front, but the rest of you is absolutely tiny!!! Just keep thinking not long now!!
San xx
What a beautiful gift of love. The color is amazing. Thank you for having to having the courage to share a photo of yourself at 36 weeks! I feels like it went very quickly (but I’m not the mom who is pregnant).. Early on you told us you carry your babies low and indeed you do–much easier to cuddle them and humm a lullaby or say a quick prayer. Time to change those “carry to term and may God grow a healthy baby” prayers to “delivery” baby prayers. Gld Bless you all during this last little bit.
Hi, I’m new to your blog and I had to smile at this post. This time last year I was HUGE pregnant with my fourth and a lovely man at World Market came up behind me and yelled, “Look out everybody, she’s gonna blow!” Yeah. I was pretty embarrassed. I feel your frustration. But what a witness we can be when we reply graciously. You are a lovely pregnant woman. My husband is fond of saying that a woman is far more lovely when she is pregnant than when she is not because of the beautiful, selfless work she is doing. Congratulations on this new precious babe!
I don’t think I’ve ever commented on your blog before but I just have to say what a perfectly beautiful and oh-so-round baby belly! 🙂 You are glowing. I do love to read your blog; I’m so glad I found it. Praying for you as you quickly approach the days of being a mother again to a newborn! 🙂 Such a precious time in life.
You look BEAUTIFUL Ginny!!
You look radiantly beautiful!! I long for another baby, but looking at your bump makes my back ache….I know it’s so worth it though.
Lovely shawl 🙂

You are looking beautiful!
Oh, what a nice nice, sweet Baby-Bauch. You look lovely, so fresh and happy!
You look lovely! I especially love shawls when I am pregnant (who wants to mess with a coat when a shawl gets the job done?!)
You look beautiful.
I actually don’t believe you are pregnant. I think Beatrix might just be holding a ball up there *just so*. What great lengths people go to these days. SHEESH.
🙂
But truly- you are a stunning pregnant lady and you have a remarkable belly (my pregnant belly wraps around my whole waist making me look like a whale instead of pregnant. Or maybe a pregnant WHALE.) And I think you sport brown velour awesomely- and that shawl knocks it up a few notches!
Be well!
You are all belly and you look absolutely gorgeous! It’s one of the wonderful beauties of being pregnant and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
p.s. Did the giver of the shawl tell you the pattern he/she used? It’s lovely.
Why must people always give a running commentary of how pregnant bellies are getting bigger? I’m glad bellies do, and I’m pretty sure the owners are aware of just how “big” they are. (They also make peek-a-boo with toddlers extra fun!)
You are glowing!
Beautiful!
Honestly, you look like you stuffed a beach ball up your shirt…which means you’re just a skinny-mini that’s pregnant. I looked like a fat, hot mess while pregnant. You couldn’t even tell I was pregnant until I was about 36 weeks and that’s just because Little Man started to waggle his little butt once in awhile so my stomach would randomly jump.
You know what’s even worse than “about to pop”? Someone saying “wow, you don’t even look pregnant!!” (Which leaves me thinking…”great, thanks…so I just look…fat?” haha)
I think you look lovely 🙂 And how nice it is to have a little someone to prop up her baby sibling.
(I recently saw someone using a baby wrap to support/ hold up her heavy belly towards the end of her pregnancy. Not a bad idea! I only wish I had thought to try that when I was pregnant!)
You are looking radiant and healthy. How precious are those photos of Bea helping? So sweet! The shawl looks like it suits you perfectly!
You look absolutely beautiful and so does the shawl!
just love that little one helping hold up baby!……
how cute is that!!!!!
Corinne
Having just been through this same exchange with my daughter you’ll hear no comment from me other than you look beautiful!
The shawl is amazing and should be a nice covering for baby as well as you.
I have to smile at your beautiful pregnant self. I always gained weight allllllll over – you could roll me down the street. But YOU! You are normal sized except for the baby’s home. Very cute.
You look simply beautiful! And the shawl is stunning. I’m praying these final weeks fly by and that your delivery goes easily. Can’t wait to meet your new small one!
You look radiant!
Beautiful photos, Ginny. I’ll refrain using the word “pop” however I’ll say you’re all baby, no wonder your back hurts! Lovely shawl and again I enjoyed seeing you, your daughter and the happiness in the photos.
You look amazing!!
Oh my…What an amazing gift – perfect for fall. And, you look great, Ginny!
i’m absolutely in love with that shawl pattern! how beautiful! as for your belly, it’s beautiful as well but also reminds me of how awkward and painful those last few weeks can be. 🙁 thank goodness for your little helper.
Ginny, the shawl is lovely and you look lovely, too. I find a knit shawl feels like a hug when you wrap it around you.
Having been pregnant, I will never again make any comments about any one else’s pregnant body! 😀
I hope you’re feeling well.
Actually, you look fantastic. That’s a very pretty shawl – – what a treasure of a gift!
You look fantastic, healthy, and growing which is perfect. Best wishes to all of you.
You look lovely, Ginny. And that girl of yours is getting so big! xo
Aww! You look wonderful! What a gorgeous gift!
Ginny…you look fabulous!!! Really now, how many kids have you had? I’d think it was your first…what a beautiful mama you are! (And brown velour pants are so dang comfy…like warm oats on a rainy day).
xo Jules
I wish I looked as cute as you when I’m 36 weeks pregnant! I get those ‘other’ comments when I still have a month to go:) The shawl is beautiful and I LOVE the picture of Bea holding the baby up!
I think you look lovely! The shawl is beautiful; what a nice gift.
Wow, you look absolutly beautiful!!!!!
You look beautiful! And the scarf is beautiful as well. I carried my babies all out in front too and boy, I wish I had someone or something to hold my baby belly up with at the end too! Oy!
You look so beautiful, Ginny! The shawl is lovely also.
I’m partial to bellies that are so lovely! You look great and that scarf is pretty amazing!
precious photos of her “holding” baby up. you look lovely.
