I made a little progress on Bea’s sweater this week, dividing for the sleeves again. Now it’s back and forth stockinette for the rest of the body, so mindless knitting. Reading has been sparse. Rather than spending much time with The Betrothed, I have been letting myself read a chapter of Atchafalaya Houseboat here and there. It’s such a nice relaxing read.

What make and type are those needles? Metal or wood? They look good.
they are the knit picks interchangeable nickel plated needles. 🙂
That is going to be one beautiful sweater and that does look like a nice easy read. Just what I am in the market for.

I love your sweater for Bea. I always love your taste in patterns and feel like I could just trail along and knit everything you do, although that sure seems a little stalker-esque, don’t you think?
I am doing the finishing work on a Sunday Sweater this week and continue to be so pleased with the pattern as being functional and comfortable but with such a sweet feminine lacy touch. My favorite thing about it MIGHT be the way the sleeves gather into the cuff, it is just how a sweater should be. Kudos on such an excellent and easy to follow pattern.
The houseboat book sounds like such a treat! I am going to look that up.
I’m reading Atchafalaya Houseboat too! Actually, I roared through it. Loved it. You are right, there’s something very relaxing about it. I’m tempted to reread it-slowly this time.

I love the color of your sweater! I find simple knitting to be a calming in my life.
I have to admit that stockinette for a long time drives me bananas. I am way too hyper to get much of it done so I always end up starting something else. Wish I had your patience Ginny. I love that purple!

I have to admit there are a lot if times that I enjoy mindless knitting, especially now that we are back to having school lessons.
