Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

I’m trying to stay focused on my baby blanket this week.  If I persevere I will be able to have it finished soon!  Sense and Sensibility is the top book on my nightstand right now.  I’m about halfway through reading it.  It’s pleasant, easy to pick up, easy to put down reading.  Just right.

How funny! I just posted my post before reading yours. The book I featured was Mansfield Park and I referred to it as “the book on top of my nightstand stack right now”. 🙂

No post to share as it seems nigh on impossible to get any knitting done with my 1 year old daughter around, but I love Sense and Sensibility (and Jane Austen in general), they always make me smile!

I have yet to be able to finish a Jane Austen book. I may have to tackle one again. I feel so ignorant of her works. Love the look of the baby blanket.

Staying focused…I’ve been struggling with that myself, lately. Your blanket looks like it’s coming along nicely (I always admire your color selection). My favorite Austen novel is Northanger Abbey.

Ah, that just reminded me of half a zigzag baby blanket I started last year for my autumn baby…… now my sister is expecting – if I get it out now, I’m sure I can finish it by January!!

more power to ya Ginny! Unlike me, who still has a rainbow ripple blanket I should have finished a year ago in a basket somewhere, you will actually finish yours and it will be precious!

Jane Austen is a favorite of mine. And a perfect read when you need something but not too much of something! Such pretty colors for your baby blanket ~ looks so soft and comfy, everything you want for a newborn 🙂

We’ve had beautiful temperatures here in RI, I hope you’ve had some of the same and are feeling well!

I started working on Little Man’s baby blanket when I was about five months along. It didn’t get finished until he was a little over a year and a half old. It wasn’t particularly difficult but I worked on it in spurts 🙂

I’m just realizing I’ve never read Sense and Sensibility, I’ve just seen every movie version of it ever made…..I think I’ll make a point to read the book.

Hello dear Ginny, I’m not linking to the yarn along this week, (though there is a speck of knitting in the post I just did) but I just remembered and had to tell you… you were in my dream last night, I was at a house in Carmel (I am often there in my dreams) and I called you and we were chatting on the phone, but then I had to go cause we were about to walk down to the beach, and cause you were very pregnant, and I didn’t know why I had called you when I didn’t really have the time right then, but we said we would talk again soon. It was fun 🙂
Hope everyone is happy and well, love to you and family, to the teeny one in your belly…

I haven’t ever gotten through Sense & Sensibility. I have started several times, made it half way, and then moved onto something else. Maybe it is time to finish! Thanks for hosting 🙂
