~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

**Also, I am using a different “linky” today just for fun, one that shows thumbnail images for each Yarn Along participant’s link. I’d love your opinion on what you prefer: text links as we have always used in the past, or links that include thumbnail images.

LOVE your Sunday Sweater. It’s in my queue!
I am technically challenged and can’t seem to link up, but here we go:
http://weewhimsicals.typepad.com/weewhimsicals/2013/06/-yarn-along–1.html
Adding your book to my list, too 🙂
Fun pictures! How nice! The link-up tool worked well for me, too, so I think it’s a winner.
I saw a book on another blog (http://showerofroses.blogspot.com/2013/06/my-daybook-june-4-2013.html) and thought of you. It is called The Saint and his Bees. Have you read it? She has the amazon link on her blog post. Anyway, I love the knitting, as always. Because of these yarn along posts I have been brave enough to try my hand at a bit of knitting beyond a basic scarf!
Ginny, I love your new linky as it is great to see the project you may want to click on. So many times I am overwhelmed by the amount of participants and end up not even choosing anyone’s projects. And I also love your yarn!!!
xo Jules
I’m not linking up today as I had a bit of a fiasco with my sweater. I started it again and gosh darn it, this sweater is going to make me one fine knitter. My only problem now is that when I make an error, I mess up with my backwards knitting. I need to take a class just on correcting mistakes! I do practically know the Sunday Sweater pattern by heart now though and am loving it! Anyway, I do love seeing the pictures so that I know what project a person is posting about. You get so many people linking up, I don’t have time to go through each one, but pictures would help me have a better idea if the project was something I might to make also (obviously everyone’s projects are lovely, but there are so many knitting projects and so little time – not to mention so many books, but so little time…. sigh… it would be nice if knitting and reading time occurred in little time bubbles so they don’t detract from regular time of the day…)
Every week I admire that yarn you are using!!! I love the new picture linky!
Hi,
Made the link but couldn’t use the picture from my post- what am I doing wrong please? PS Love the colour of your yarn!
Cathy, I’m not sure, but don’t worry about it for now. I am going to try a different picture link up next week that I think will be better than this one!
Hi,
I don’t seem to be able to make the link to my post today- what must I do please?
I am eagerly waiting for the larger sunday sweater 🙂
And I am commenting just to say that I really like the thumbnails, I usually don’t click on links but I will go for a tempting yarny image.
I always love the yarn you have. Such beautiful colours and they always look so soft!
PS. love the new linky!!
I really love the color of Larkspur’s sweater. I can’t wait to see it finished!
Really like the addition of the thumbnails. As always, your knitting is beautiful, and choice of yarn just as lovely.
I love the thumbnails! I’m a super visual person and this gets me all happy about visiting the other blogs in the hop!
I love the thumbnails! And, as everyone before me has said, the sweater really looks lovely. Though, you’ve never knit anything that I don’t love!
Larksspurs sweater turns out so pretty!
It’s a pity not all the linky pictures show yarny things.
I LOVE the new link up with thumbnails. I wasn’t going to link up this week, but now I have to. So exciting 🙂
I LOVE the thumbnails also! It’s just so fun to at-a-glance see so many things that people have made!
I like the picture links.
That yarn is so pretty!
I love the pictures! The yarn for Larkspur’s sweater is gorgeous – I can’t wait to see it finished.
The Sunday Sweater is looking so beautiful. I love that color. I’m so excited to see thumbnails for the link party. I don’t always have a lot of time to visit everyone so I like getting to see previews of what everyone’s working on. It also makes it a lot easier to remember where I’ve been since I’ll visit the links over several days.
I agree! some of the reasons i too love linkies with photos!
Love the pictures – great idea! And your Sunday Sweater has inspired me to make a couple for my girls.
What a neat addition to Yarn Along to see the projects/person! Larkspur’s Sunday Sweater looks fabulous!
I like seeing the thumbnails since I only have time to visit/read a few posts.
The sweater just gets lovelier the bigger it gets. 🙂 I think the new application for the links is fun. I vote yes!
Blessings, Debbie
First of all: the colour of Larkspur’s sweater is really beautiful. And then I kind of like the thumbnail linky tool although it is a titbit more difficult to use plus you really have to be careful with the legth of your name. I shortend mine and yet it was too long and some weird stuff happend to my picture. But then I just so enjoy reading all the posts that I don’t mind at all.
Yes, what it’s doing to the text when it’s on the long side is really bugging me! I like having the picture previews, but I am going to switch to a different linky tool next week and that should solve the problem!
Such a pretty yarn color! I almost never choose maroon/reds for yarn color, and then when I see yours, I always wonder why!
Love Larkspur’s sweater, the yarn is gorgeous! Looking forward to see it finished.
I love Yarn Along, with or without previews!
The Sunday Sweater is just so lovely, it’s really coming along beautifully. 🙂
I really rather like the previews!
Gorgeous yarn! I’m still knitting on my first sweater. I think I’m in love with sweater making now. 🙂
I love the sweater!! The color is so pretty. I like the pictures but either way is fine.
Oh yes the pictures are fun! I love the yarn you’re using for this one, the colors are so sweet! I’m looking forward to knitting another for Jenny this fall, she has gotten so much use out of her first one. 🙂
(read the other comments before me)… it seems that the picture is working now for the links! I really like it! Your sweater looks wonderful! Sounds like it would be a lot of work but the result is beautiful and an even colour! Small knits can be nice too! have a wonderful day ! you make Wednesdays all the brighter by bringing us all here! 🙂
I love the pics! It’s great to see the person or project before I click on the link!
I hate having to switch skeins of yarn back and forth. It’s really worth the effort in the end though. I am really not sure what I want to read next!
So many things being finished and enjoyed in your world, I’m glad.
I am fine with whatever linky you use although I’m not sure I did it right.
You are so fast, it takes me forever to get that far. It really looks beautiful!
Gorgeous yarn color! Thanks for hosting Ginny and get better!
Best,
Sheila

I love the idea of a preview as well, but the picture squares all say pending for me too! Any link you use is fine with me!
That sweater is so beautiful, the drape is just gorgeous and it looks like it must be so soft and smooth. So lovely!
I love that sweater! I have it on my list to knit for Julia, once I find the perfect yarn. 🙂
Love the idea of the previews, but all the pictures say “pending” on my screen. xo
I noticed Gretchen’s comment and it made me realize that half the reason I don’t get more done is because I like to look at it so much, once it becomes recognizable. I stitch a little, look a little, stitch a little, strut like a peacock in my imagination because the project is actually coming together! Lark’s sweater is lovely, can’t wait to see the finished project! I like the picture linky, but it won’t load the pictures…
I’m not sure why pictures aren’t loading. I will have to work on this some more….
They are now! I really like the pictures. 🙂
Working for me now too! 🙂
The cardigan is so beautiful. I think your Sunday Sweater is going to be my next knit for my daughter. I have so enjoyed watching your current one come together!
Beautiful drape to that knitted fabric!
Larkspur is going to have one gorgeous sweater; such a pretty colorway!
Pictures aren’t showing on the linky…if they do, it would be fun, but either way is fine with me. 🙂
Blessings, ~Lisa
Beautiful yarn, Ginny! I’m doing the same thing with alternating for sleeves at the moment and it is a bit tedious.
The linky thumbnails all say Pending on my screen but I love the idea of getting a preview.
OK, seriously, that sweater you’re knitting is STUNNING. Do you ever just sit there and the beauty just hits you? It should! I just remembered I had some Madelinetosh Fragrant in my stash too, but it’s laceweight. I really should pick that up again.
Oh, and I love the new picture linkys. Very nice.
yay for sleeve knitting! That’s the very end of any knitting project 🙂 Whatever linky you use is fine by me, whatever makes life easy and fun. Have a fabulous Wednesday!
gosh! that is such pretty yarn! It will make a lovely sweater! Happy Knitting!
