Wooly Moss Roots Giveaway

Today’s giveaway is from Jeff and Taryn of Wooly Moss Roots!  You can follow along with them on their family’s lovely blog, and also on Facebook!

Hello! We are The Wilson Family: Papa Jeff, Mama Taryn, and Boy Bracken.  We live on a small homestead in the coastal mountains of Oregon.  We love working with wood, wool, and herbs. We make handmade artisan buttons, wooly creations, and herbal products with organic herbs from our garden.

What’s new in the shop? We treated ourselves to a woodburner as a Christmas present to ourselves, it had been on our wish list for a long time.  Jeff has been having a blast playing around with it ever since and we’re really happy to introduce woodburned buttons in our shop now!  He started making buttons with whimsical woodland scenes with trees, mushrooms and flowers.  When Jeff started woodburning designs on buttons, the wheels in my head started turning and I started envisioning sweet designs on buttons especially for kids.  I was daydreaming of adorable handknit sweaters and it wasn’t long before we introduced buttons with woodburned honeybees, ladybugs, hearts, and stars.  They make really sweet additions to special handmade items for kids (and adults!)

We also wanted to tell you about our new group on Ravelry.  We invite you to join our Wooly Moss Roots Buttons Group.  It’s a fun place to share the projects you make with Wooly Moss Roots Buttons and we would be delighted if you took the time to add your projects there!  When we mail our handmade buttons around the world, we love to see what creative projects they end up on and this group is a fun place for us to see what you make.

Jeff and Taryn are generously offering the following items to one winner:
-4 sets of buttons (pictured above) including:
**1 set of 8 toggle buttons in reclaimed mahogany wood
**1 set of 6 small buttons in reclaimed maple burl wood
**1 set of 4 woodburned buttons in birch wood (2 ladybugs, 2 honeybees)
** and 1 set of 6 mixed buttons in a variety of reclaimed woods
-1 regular size salve (choice of healing salve, relieving salve, or blissful baby balm)
-1 peppermint tooth powder
-1 peppermint calendula lip balm (choice of regular or tinted)

In addition, enter the coupon code: SMALLTHINGSCOUPON at checkout and get 20% off your order! Coupon code will be good through Thursday May 16th and will be good in both the Wooly Moss Roots Shop and the Mystic Orb Shop.

In addition, we’ll include one packet of organic seeds with every order. Choose between parsley, kale, nettles, marigolds, or bright lights chard. Just enter which type of seeds you would like included with your order, in notes to seller.

For your chance to win, simply leave a comment on this post.  Comments will close and a winner will be randomly selected on Monday, May 13th.  The winner will be announced within this post.

Comments are closed.  The winner is Leah:  “What a fabulous giveaway! I love those buttons!”

Thanks Wooly Moss Roots!

The buttons are beautiful. I especially love the tree image Jeff burned — is it the logo for their business?

If I win, I would love to have kale seeds . . .

Blessings on both families and their businesses!

I am so *in love* with Jeff and Taryn’s beautiful buttons (and several other fantastic pieces/products they make). I have ordered from them in the past, and I have a difficult time restraining myself from spending large amounts of $$$ in their Etsy shops (it is quite a good thing I am not within driving distance of the Weekend Market they attend).
Many Thanks for the generous giveaway! Thank you Ginny for sharing your life with us ~ your family is simply beautiful! I hope all of the illness you have all seen in recent weeks is soon over.
