~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

Rhiannon and I LOVED reading The Penderwicks a few times.
On books, I ordered Bel Ria for my animal – loving college age daughter on your recommendation and she likes it. Gives her a nice break from her animal science major. She is working with the new lambs and goats at her college!
Such a beautiful sweater for Silas! You are getting a good start on next winter’s knitting.
I love simple stockinette sweaters and good books 🙂
Ginny,
I love the brown yarn with a touch of blue trim around the edges. And I LOVE that pattern.
Love,
Taryn
It’s a miracle to me how you find all that time for knits and reads!
Yay for the sweater! so nice to be able to do things in advance! The book sounds very engrossing! Wishing you a beautiful evening!
Ooh, I love that pattern. I may just have to make one for my little guy.
Haven’t come across the Penderwicks here (in the UK). See from the Amazon description that it has an Arundel estate. We going camping in Arundel (town near the South coast of England) for a weekend in the summer. It does have a large castle. Wonder if that’s where the author got the name from.
Oh, oh! We love the Penderwicks!!!!
A sweater for next winter. Wow Ginny I’m impressed 🙂
Just put Clara’s War on hold at the library and will pick it up tomorrow. Somehow I’ve never heard of that book but my Jewish daughter’s name is Clara and I feel inclined to read it. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the good reads and the lovely party!
Sheila
Clara’s War sounds really interesting, I have added that to my reading list (which has over 200 books on it….and my projects-I’d-like-to-make list is going the same way…..)
Love the Penderwicks, and Clara’s War sounds great!
I loved reading that book to my kids!
The Penderwicks–I haven’t thought about that book for ages. I’ll need to find us a copy and read it to my kids. The sweater is coming along great!
Beautiful color for the sweater. Lucky little Silas! 😉
Back on track again…
We have been ill, all four of us in this house and many of the children I take care of in my daycare/preeschool.
I am not sure if all is well yet but we´re doing our best to live our ordinary life again!
All linked up! New book, new project… as well as completed pictures of my last project!
Thanks again for hosting this link up!
The sweater looks great!
Thanks for hosting.
Clara’s War sounds like my kind of book, I’ll add it to my to-read list!
Great color for Silas’s sweater ~ the Penderwicks are great!
Yet another book to add to my pile! Love the sweater. I can’t wait to tackle a sweater.

My kids have the Penderwicks and I keep trying to get them interested but it’s not happening. Perhaps I’ll follow your example and pick it up myself 😉
The Penderwicks is one of my daughter’s favorites!
We listened to the Penderwicks and really enjoyed the story. Clara’s War sounds good.
My kiddos love the Penderwicks. My oldest named his stuffed fox, Jane. You are very industrious, working on next year’s winter clothes!
The sweater is looking good. Thanks for the book recommendations!
Perfect color for a boy’s sweater! Happy Knitting!
I love the Penderwicks and Clara’s War sounds really good! I can’t wait to see how Silas’ sweater turns out!
Silas’s sweater looks so soft and cozy. The Penderwicks is a great read. 🙂
Oh gosh, I can remember selecting The Penderwicks from my elementary school library. I think if I went back there today, I could find the exact place on the shelf where I got it. I’m not sure why that memory stands out so strongly…I hardly remember the book itself! Maybe I should pick it up again…
Thanks for the lovely link up as always!
I love the color of Silas’s sweater! He is going to look fabulous in it! I am reading wuthering heights which is delightful, I’ve read it so many times, it’s like visiting a friend 🙂
