~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~
Today was the first day we used our woodstove this season. I’ve been cold all week, but right now, sitting here on Tuesday evening, it’s hot in here. I’m waiting on my next fiction read to arrive, and have been reading The Beekeeper’s Handbook whenever I can. I am working on Beatrix’s Bulle, and hoping to have it finished soon now that the weather is cold.

Very beautiful color!
Lovely!
Your photos are amazing! And so is that colorway. What yarn is it?
Love the yarn!
Oh, your woodstove. I would love to have one some day. In the meantime I’m layering wool and still shivering.
Thanks for hosting us all!
Lovely color! Good luck with the knitting.
I have that book on my bedside table 🙂 Haven’t started reading it though.
There’s something about the color of yarn you’ve chosen and the pairing of the colors and sound of a wood stove that is just downright perfect.
Oh, also. Now that you’ve been sharing Bulles in that colorway for a while, I’m having a hard time imagining them being any other color! I want to make one for Elisabeth — and as much as I really wanted something for myself out of that colorway, it might have to be her Bulle!
PS: Please fix it.
Oh, geez, I’m so bad at this! I didn’t notice that it saved my “name” as “Lunch Week followed by Yarn Along”! I’m pathetic. LOL
love that yarn you’re using. I’ve been working with some Silky Wool, knitting up a stole in a beautiful leaf motif.
xo
I love the colorway of the yarn you are using and I am wishing we had our fire going too.
Isn’t that wonderful, that switch from being cold all week to firing up the woodstove and suddenly the house is so hot you’ve got to open windows?
That sweater is going to be stunning! I immediately went and queued it up for my own daughter.
Wood stoves are so warm and cozy and give the best heat!
I love the color of your yarn ~ perfect for fall, and I miss my woodstove! 🙁
We have been using our wood stove this week too. It’s so cozy to knit while it’s lit!
Love that colour. Hope your new book arrives today so you can read it by the fire later today 🙂
Can’t wait to see Beatrix’s finished Bulle. Enjoy the warmth of the woodstove. 🙂
Yesterday morning I finally broke down and turned on the heat. I wanted to try to make it until Thanksgiving, but it was too cold. Brrrrr!
Still no power in NJ. We are loving our wood burning stove. I’ll be back later with my link up.
I miss wood burning stoves. Stay warm 🙂
That yarn you’re using looks delicious… golden like honey funnily enough? Or is it no coincidence at all?
Thank you again Ginny for hosting this!
Wish I could say the same. Been waiting for our management-controlled heat to kick up a notch!
Beautiful yarn…stay cozy!
It looks cozy! The yarn is very pretty.
You always have the best yarn colors that are so rich and warm!
love your yarn color choice, my fav. thanks for doing this yarn along, i really enjoy visiting the other blogs with a cup of tea after work.
that is a great colorway and I love the bee books you are reading. the cover on this one is wonderful. Are you still enjoying the bees?

ooh, that stove looks cosy. Brrr, wish we had one in our house 🙂
Ooh, I wish we had a proper fire! It’s lovely to sit in a cosy house and knit away the evening hours, isn’t it?!
We’ve been using our fireplace for a few weeks now, and it is lovely to sit by!
ooo, a wood stove sounds lovely right now (we have a gas fireplace … it’s just not the same!).
The Bulle is looking lovely …
Things are warming up in this part of the world. We’ve already had our first 30+(°C) day for the season and the air conditioner has been running.
Cosy autumn fires are just perfect. We must be cooler than you as we have had ours lit for a month now!
I love those autumnal colours, too. I have just started a scarf with some lovely rusty orange and purple (I know, but it is lovely, really) yarn from my stash.
That color yarn is just so beautiful!
Lovely yarn! I hope your fictional book arrives today 🙂 There is something about the first fire lit that makes fall feel like fall!!
Beekeeping has always fascinated me. I wish I weren’t terrified of them! If we had a woodstove, I would live in front of it all winter…so warm and inviting.
Hello Ginny, just thought I’d tell you how much I have enjoyed all the autumnal colours in your recent posts, you live in a gorgeous part of the world! Have a lovely week, Julie.
love the colour of Beatrix’s cardi!! so much non-fiction reading here as well, i look forward to checking all the lovely links in this link-up for some fiction inspiration!
It is cold here this morning and I wish I had a fire. We bring our wood stove in for the winter and
out for the rest of the year since we don’t need it very often so I guess I know what the plan is for
today!
My link on the number 4 spot is not the right one. Is there a way you can remove it?
