Phoebe’s Birthday giveaway

My girls have been loving Joanna Johnson’s latest book, Phoebe’s Birthday for months now, even though I haven’t had a chance to make any of the patterns that the story includes yet.  This children’s picture book includes not only a sweet story with lovely illustrations, but both knitting and sewing patterns to make the story come alive as well!  (You can get a peek at the knitting patterns on Ravelry:  here and here and here.) The sewing patterns are great as well.  I especially love the spool quilt pattern and the mermouse!  We are huge fans of Joanna’s first book, Phoebe’s Sweater (I’ve knit two of those sweaters!  here and here) and do hope to make at least the little mermouse from Phoebe’s Birthday.  My friend Nicole’s daughter made a little mermouse and Nicole wrote a great review that you can read here.

**All of Joanna’s books and patterns are available for purchase here.**

I have had an extra copy of Phoebe’s Birthday sitting on my shelf waiting to be given to one of you, courtesy of Joanna, and I thought that with all the holiday crafting going on now, it might be a good time to share it!  For your chance to win, leave a comment on this post.  I’ll use the random number generator to choose a winner on Monday, November 5th, and announce the winner within this post.

The winner is Amy:  “My girls would adore this book!  What a fun week this is on your blog, with all the giveaways!!  Thanks so much -”

Thanks, Joanna!

I am crossing my fingers…I would love to have this book. I have wanted to buy the first book for awhile now. I remember the Phoebe sweaters you knit. That was before I was a knitter and I remember thinking you were amazing for being able to knit something like that..now here you are CREATING your own patterns just like it.
