Four years

The other night, Beatrix came to me with tears in her eyes.  She asked something along the lines of, “Was I really a difficult baby?”

I answered, “Of course not, you just needed me all the time.”

She replied, “And you needed me too, right?”

Oh, yes.

Yes, I did.

Happy Birthday to our Beatrix.  She challenges us and she delights us.

She’s a gift.

Happy birthday to Beatrix!! I absolutely love that name. It always makes me think of Peter Rabbit.
Yes she is a gift and thank you for sharing her with us. She seems like a free spirit.

Happy happy 4, Beatrix. As someone who has been reading your blog since she was around 1 (or younger?), I cannot believe it. You are both blessed.

Oh my goodness, that first photo looks SO much like she does now 4 years later
sometimes it is uncanny how that first glimpse reveals so much and then each day as they change we notice different things and forget that first moment.

    Happy Birthday Beatrice

So beautiful. I have a baby who needs me a lot, she is two. I also have a sweet boy turning four soon. Three and four have challenges but so many blessings, don’t they? Plus this age can be the funniest for knitting awesome things for them to wear, don’t you think?

This is beautiful. As usual Beatrix reminds me so much of my Anne, who is now a fine 26 year old woman. So many of the things she rebelled against she is now embracing. This motherhood is a long and wonderful trip.

Oh so sweet!! Love the pictures, and I love what you said to her in response. I have a baby who still needs me all the time….she is now 2 1/2, and I also have another baby(nearly 10 months) so it makes it challenging, but man I love this girl.
