Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

I’ve had very little time for knitting in the past week, which is difficult, but true.  I’ve only managed to work on Keats’ vest because it is mindless round and round knitting.  He, by the way, isn’t helping me with it as I had hoped he would.  It’s baseball season, and I guess he’s preoccupied.  I’ve got three skeins of gorgeous Madelinetosh wound and ready for a new project, but just can’t seem to get started.  I am also working on something very practical and frugal for Seth’s upcoming birthday, but I’ll keep that a secret (Seth reads my blog.)  Really he knows about it, but I am pretending that he doesn’t.

I am absolutely loving Far From the Madding Crowd despite the fact that there are frequently words if not entire sentences that I don’t understand.  With reading time precious and spare, who has time to grab a dictionary every other minute?  Not I.  I get the big picture, and that’s what counts.

Below is a linky list if you’d like to link up and join the Yarn Along.
(1) Make sure the link you submit is to the URL of your blog post or your specific Flickr photo and not your main blog URL or Flickr Photostream. Please be sure and link to your current Yarn Along post, and not a Yarn Along post from a previous week.
(2) Include a link back to this post in your blog post or on your flickr photo page so that others who may want to join the Yarn Along can find us!
(3) If you have any trouble linking up, just email me and I will help you!
You can also join the Flickr Yarn Along group to share your knitting and reading photos anytime!

I love the colours in your vest. I’m sharing some finished hats for the grandchildren today. I’ve just finished reading Evans Above by Rhys Bowen, a series about a policeman in Wales.

I came to your site from someone else joining the yarn along and thought I might join too with adding the first knitting post to my blog 🙂 Next week I know that it is Wednesdays so I might also update again!
Keep the good work up with knitting, your blog and probably even more important, your kids 😉
