Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

Yarn Along

I am kind of tired of taking pictures of this shawl!  Jonny suggested that I cast on for something else…but actually I do already have other projects on the needles.  I am only working on this shawl though until it’s finished, and until it is, I am only going to photograph it.  That’s motivation.  Of course motivation doesn’t necessarily create more time.  I am working on the charted portion at the end of the shawl…I think I have about thirty rows to go.

I finally settled on a book last week, pulling C.S. Lewis’s Mere Christianity off the shelf.  A classic I have owned for years, but never read, and a perfect choice for me right now.

You go girl with your shawl, and get it done! Can’t wait to see it on you!
I’ve never read Mere Christianity, but I’ve heard it is good~ You’ll have to give us a report on it. ♥♥♥

Your shawl is lovely and it is almost finished. And I am so glad I finished my sister’s afghan for her 40th birthday next August. While I’m at it, can I ask you to say a prayer for all of my family in my hometown , Modena, Italy, struck by multiple earthquakes(i’m in NH)? Oh , my goodness, they are being brave, but they get so many quakes daily….

I don’t think I can handle another shawl ever again, they are so monotonous! I was originally inspired to try one because of your lovely photographs of the ones you’ve done (I can’t remember the name of it, Steam and Iron or something like that?) So lovely.

I love that color yarn! So gorgeous!

I’m right there with you, Ginny! I’ve been working on my Citron shawl for a month I think. At least it feels that way. I’m not letting myself get sidetracked by anything else until it’s done. I’m so close with only the last ruffle section left. But 11 rows of 540 stitches in lace weight for each row, it might take me another month to finish it. 😉

I can’t get over how lovely that colorway you’re using is. I’m sure it will be well worth your work when it is finished.

I feel exactly the same way about my current knitting project. The color of that shawl is so beautiful that I definitely prefer it over the black I’m working with.
