Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

Yarn Along

I haven’t cast on any more of the projects that I have ready to go.  I’ve just been working back and forth on my Oaklet shawl (I am two rows away from the beginning of the lace) and have knit a few rounds on Circumnavigate.  Circumnavigate is a really fun pattern!  The repeats are easy to remember as I go and I am loving it so far.

I only have a few pages left in Merry Hall and I am trying to decide if I want to move on to the next book in this trilogy, or save it for awhile.  Jonny is reading Better Beekeeping.  Next up he wants to read about honeybee removal, and swarm trapping.  He definitely has bees on the brain.

Below is a linky list if you’d like to link up and join the Yarn Along.
(1) Make sure the link you submit is to the URL of your blog post or your specific Flickr photo and not your main blog URL or Flickr Photostream. Please be sure and link to your current Yarn Along post, and not a Yarn Along post from a previous week.
(2) Include a link back to this post in your blog post or on your flickr photo page so that others who may want to join the Yarn Along can find us!
(3) If you have any trouble linking up, just email me and I will help you!
You can also join the Flickr Yarn Along group to share your knitting and reading photos anytime!

I love your Oaklet, but tonight I’d like to say thank you for bringing to my attention a while ago (with that beautiful photo of Beatrice) Imogen tee/Immie Tee/Immie blanket. I love these patterns, I am knitting the tee for myself and I finished this week the blanket for church. Lovely!

That shawl is going to be so beautiful. I really adore the yarn, and your knitting looks great. And yay for books that are good enough that you want to save the sequel up for later. That’s my favourite kind. 🙂

I love the look of the oaklet shawl. Does anyone have an opinion on whether this would work in a bulkier yarn (if I modified the pattern and cast on fewer stitches)? It’s everything I want in a shawl, only the yarn weight is wrong for what I have!

My fingers are itching to make a shawl. My knitting/crochet to-do list just gets longer and longer, especially after perusing all the lovely things displayed on yarn along. Thats definitely a good thing though, inspiration never gets old!

Nice colors, I’ve been itching to get my own bees. I’ve always been fascinated by them. Hopefully I’ll get mine next Spring.

Currently I’ve been working on a lot of amigurumi projects. The past few days I’ve been working on an adorable bunny, and some cute monsters. 🙂

I always love the colors you choose, and I also love your bee updates. I grew up with honeybees in our yard and would love to have a couple of hives one day.

Bees, Bees, Bees… your bees came up at my book club last night. I love that you are so lovingly caring for them, my friend! As always, perfect color choice for your shawl.

The shawl looks so pretty. I might have to try out this pattern next. My husband has become fascinated with beekeeping recently. We don’t live somewhere yet that will support beekeeping but it’s definitely something to put on our “future farm” to do list.

Oh but it’s good to have bees on the brain since you are new bee ‘owners’. I wonder how much honey you’ll get from your hives? Do you have an estimate?

I’m glad you’re enjoying your knitting projects. Mine right now just simply need to get done and off the needles – not exactly ‘fun’ – I suppose I need to change my attitude about the whole thing – that might help my knitting time be more enjoyable and quick?
