Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

Yarn Along

I am slowly working on my bright, sunny cowl.  I have been trying to drag it out a bit as one of you suggested.  It really is such a nice knit.  I will probably finish it before this post actually goes up though, as Jonny and I have a date with Downton Abbey tonight.

I am reading Little Heathens which was suggested to me by one of you.  The author recalls her childhood on a farm during the Great Depression and manages to do so in a tremendously upbeat fashion. I am really enjoying it.

Grab a button for your post or sidebar! Visit the Yarn Along page for additional button colors!

Below is a linky list if you’d like to link up and join the Yarn Along.
(1) Make sure the link you submit is to the URL of your blog post or your specific Flickr photo and not your main blog URL or Flickr Photostream. Please be sure and link to your current Yarn Along post, and not a Yarn Along post from a previous week.
(2) Include a link back to this post in your blog post or on your flickr photo page so that others who may want to join the Yarn Along can find us!
(3) If you have any trouble linking up, just email me and I will help you!
You can also join the Flickr Yarn Along group to share your knitting and reading photos anytime!

Joining the YA for the first time! The cowl is so sunny and sweet and the book sounds great too! I’ll have to add it to my queue.

I’ve been watching Downton Abbey too – are you caught up? I was so upset with Lord Grantham after the last episode!

My husband and I just discovered Downton Abby as well. We raced through season one and now will be absorbed by season two, I’m sure. We are also computer watchers! The yellow really is lovely. It made me think of the flowers that are starting to bloom. In February! (Virginia is all off kilter this winter, huh?)

Your yellow cowl is coming along nicely…will you post a photo of it finished tomorrow? Or next Wedneday? I am happy to see that it didn’t look like you progressed much from last week to this…so I don’t feel so bad. Seems like you knit so fast! I bet you have other projects going on, too.

I am currently watching Downton Abbey on Sunday nights. It is on PBS here. We are in season 2, but I missed a few episodes of season 1. I will have to see if I can find them online. I know they are not on Canadian Netflix, but I heard they are on the American version.
PS. Still loving the colour of your cowl. I think when I am all done with the Stash Bash, I will have to start buying some colour.
    Thanks for sharing.

And the book looks very interesting. I’m sorry, that probably can not buy in Slovak. But the life of St. Bernadette, which I now read, was very heavy and she had lived peacefully with joy also. 🙂

Ahhh! Ginny, last week I messed up linking up because the link system is the same as another link up I do and it posted the wrong direct link… so this week I made sure I came on really early and, again, the link system automatically had another link in the things so I tried ever so carefully to delete the old link and… accidentally hit enter. I am so clumsy!

So #5 above is NOT the right post. Could you please remove it? Sorry everyone!
