Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. After quite a few starts and restarts, I have made a little bit of progress on Gabe’s sweater:  enough to know that I love the colors we chose for it.  He wanted a lot of color, and I am happy that I found a way to honor his wishes, albeit in a heathered, toned down palette.  He would have been pleased with a neon rainbow striped sweater, but I wouldn’t have been able to bear knitting it.  I also took a little detour to knit a pair of fingerless mitts for a friend this week as well, but haven’t taken a photo of them yet.  

I decided to start reading Little House in the Big Woods to the girls this week.  I think it makes such a nice Christmas season read.  I love that we can read this book over and over without getting tired of it, and there is always a new little one it seems, to enjoy it for the first time.   A kind friend sent me a copy of Reading Reflex, and I am pouring through that on my own, always learning.
