No, I’m not talking about the way my brain feels on most mornings, but rather the thick layer of condensation that coats my camera lens every time I head outside to take a few quick photos on a typical Virginia summer day.
I’ve decided that I am no longer going to treat this like a plague, but embrace it. Foggy photos are kind of cool, especially if you decide that you want them that way.
And besides, just as my lens begins to adjust to the sauna that is my backyard, the girls are ready to go back indoors. Foggy is pretty much all I’m gonna get.
And by the way, the woman who rang up my groceries the other day, noticing the big bruise on Beatrix’s forehead, told me a couple of remedies for those “goose egg” raised bruises. She said that either a butter knife briefly touched to the spot immediately after the injury occurs, or a moistened piece of a paper bag pressed to the spot (and she said it only has to stay there for a moment) will prevent bruising from occurring. I can’t make sense of either one of these remedies.
