A little daily life

Over the past couple of days:
Jonny worked for about thirty six hours straight without sleeping.
I worked on a project involving eggs and another involving chickweed with my kids.
My kids have also been sewing, and helping with the dishes-a lot.  The boys are learning that when mommy has a hurt back, everyone has to pitch in a little extra.
I’ve been planning and winding and casting on.  Casting off too!  I’m learning how to knit while giving lessons during the day.  This is good because my evenings are full of so much lately that I’m not left with much time to spend with my needles.
Details on all these projects as soon as Jonny and I have had some sleep.  Beatrix kept me up most of last night (in addition to the past three) and of course he was up working.
Bea got her blood drawn today and there were many, many tears.  Honestly, it was terrible.
The experience was traumatic and heartbreaking for both of us.  She’s not used to needles.
I need some food allergy answers though.  And if her two year old molars could make their way into her mouth before the new baby is born, I would be ever so grateful.
I had to stop for a stock up at Costco on the way home, and for the first time ever I really hoped for some nice man to offer to load all that cat food up in the van for me.  He never materialized though.  I’ve got to start planning my trips for times when Jonny can come with me.
I am looking forward to Wednesday’s Yarn Along. It was towards the end of my pregnancy with Beatrix that I really got serious about knitting, and I remember why.  I am not good at sitting still, and these last couple of months of pregnancy sort of necessitate as much sitting around as I can manage.  It’s nice to have something to keep my hands busy.  Although lately, it seems that sitting isn’t an option as often as I wish!
Okay-I’m off to put my snuggly little girls to bed!
