Taking a Trip

Beatrix discovers blueberries thawing in the sink.

Over the past couple of days I have:
scrubbed and organized both of our bathrooms, cleaned and organized my pantry/mudroom, scrubbed my kitchen down to the grout, planned meals and shopped, gotten completely caught up on laundry, and fretted over leaving Jonny and our children.  I will be in New Mexico this week, visiting with my family and meeting my newest little niece.  I love having a break for an afternoon, but nearly a week is going to be so hard on me!  I know that Jonny will spend the week doing lots of fun things with our kids, and hopefully they won’t have a chance to miss me as much as I will miss them.  I do worry about my Bea though.  Last time, I took her with me.  This time, I am using the trip to wean her.  My milk is mostly gone, and as much as it is making me cry to type this, the time to wean is here, I am confident of that.  I also need to be able to fully help my sister and my dad this time.
My flight leaves later today, and I have yet to pack (or shower!) I am doing other important things like changing sheets and switching out the summer books for the fall ones (and blogging.)  I have lots of photos from this past week loaded and ready to be put to words, so you’ll be hearing from me again in a day or so.
