We got just a bit of snow last night. So this morning I bundled up my girls to take a little walk and of course take some pictures. First Jonny took a bunch of me and the girls.
That’s Intruder, or “Trudu” for short. He’s a real pest, always attacking my legs when I walk.
Beatrix was trying to catch the drops of water drippping from the roof.
Bea, all tucked in and ready to go for our walk.
Snow had collected atop the dried standing weeds in our back field, creating
Snow flowers.
Larkspur picked some of the snow flowers, but of course the snow blossoms were shaken from their stems.
The scarf was Larkspur’s personal bit of flair. I’m reminded of the time last fall that I was checking out at the store, and the woman ringing up my groceries looked at me with concern and asked, “Is it cold outside? I don’t have a jacket with me.” I quickly replied, “No, not really.” Leaning in a bit closer I explained, “I’m only wearing this sweater because it’s pretty.” Of course she completely understood.
All that color. I just love it.
Look! It’s two of my boys! Actually I got a bunch of pictures of them later in the day by letting them take turns taking pictures of each other with me. The pictures are hilarious of them, but pretty awful of me.
I took way to many pictures of the snowy holly trees.
Of course the entire walk didn’t last more than ten minutes or so because it was horribly cold. Beatrix was happier looking at the snow from the other side of the glass.
