What’s going on (and a link to the grunt recipe)

Hey guys, I’m still here, but the lack of a personal computer is preventing me from blogging. A huge part of why I blog is to have a record to look back on and without being able to post pictures I am less motivated. Of course it’s back to school time so I’ve been incredibly busy as well. Oh, and Beatrix is sick and cutting two teeth on top of that so I haven’t had much free time. It’s impossible to blog with a baby in my lap!
Today was my first day back to homeschooling Seth and things went pretty well. I am so happy to be using Mother of Divine Grace. I think this year is going to be great!
We are going to see the African Children’s Choir live on Wednesday!!! So we are pretty excited about that.
Next week, Keats and Moses start at the public school. And while sending Keats back doesn’t worry me a bit I am having huge mommy jitters about sending Moses. However, I think he will love it, so I am trying not to worry too much. And of course if he doesn’t do well, I will pull him out. Right now though I feel like the best decision for our family and for Moses is for him to go to school with Keats.
Have I mentioned yet that Moses now goes by Gabriel ? When we first committed to him over two years ago we decided that we would rename him Gabriel Moses (he didn’t have a middle name) but would continue to call him Moses. However, about six weeks ago he requested that we start calling him Gabriel and he has really stuck to that. It was really hard at first but we are getting used to calling him Gabriel or Gabe (he prefers Gabriel to Gabe). I think this is a positive step on his part and indicates that he wants to belong to us. So I guess in the future I will start referring to him as Gabriel b/c I am starting to confuse myself calling him one thing here and another there.
Oh-Meghan if you are reading, I am so sorry I haven’t posted the recipe for the caramel peach grunt yet. You can see it HERE.
