Our new favorite park

We have a new favorite park.  It is about ten minutes from home, it’s on the river, there are tons of bottle caps which are the current obsession at my house, lots of beautiful trees, two playgrounds, soccer fields, man I just love it.
Digging out a bottle cap with a metal spoon.
Trying to catch up with the boys
Down to the river
Today was incredibly beautiful.

My kids carry baggies everywhere to put their trash treasures in.
Those two teeth are like daggers.  She is the worst biter I have ever had.  She is very lucky that I am still nursing her.  But,
 she inflicts some serious pain.
No hands!

p.s.  Does anyone know what this plant is?  It looks like it is in the cucurbit family with a similar growth habit to cucumbers and melons, climbing over plants and up into trees.  The flowers are small clusters (there are a few more photos on my flickr) and the young fruit is pictured above.  It is growing along a section of the river bank and I suspect it isn’t native.

p.p.s.  I just updated to the new editor in blogger and boy does it make posting photos easier, but where is the spellcheck button??  Am I just missing it because it is 1 a.m.?

Well, you better tell me how to do that….update to the new editor. The photos nearly drive me mad.I still remember the pleasure of my bottle cap collection. We'd go out around the area where the "Quick Lunch" truck had been…..Oh! the abundance!

I couldn't find a spell check button 🙁 The park is beautiful, I need to take the boys more often. My excuse is that they have a small swing set here. But nothing beats the park.
