My new carrier!

My Sleepy Wrap came today-and I totally love it, (and more importantly, so does Beatrix-so far)! It is comfortable and very versatile. I like snuggling my newborns up high on my chest-but you can position a baby in so many different ways with this carrier. The fabric is amazing and doesn’t bind my shoulders like some slings. Bea is snuggled so tightly against my body, and I think she reallylikes that as opposed to being held in a cradle position in the Ergo or a regular sling. I considered being bold and ordering a color like blue or orange, but I always wimp out and go with neutrals!
Thanks to Courtney who first posted about this wrap!

That really does look comfortable for both mom and baby. And you are so lovely. I finally realize who you remind me of – Meryl Streep! I have always been attracted to her gentle motherliness.

Great idea! Bea seems to eat it up and mom looks pretty good there herself! You'd never know the amount of stress you've been living under by the look of your face. Totally serene; totally beautiful. I've been so busy with my knitting that I've hardly had time to keep up with my blog friends. I tend to be a really hot or cold person. I guess you could call me passionate. That does sound better. But I'll get on one track and that's all I think, eat, sleep, or do for weeks at a time. And then I'll cool off that and get deeply involved with something else. I would like to live my life more evenly and balanced but I've been working on that for over 50 years and I think I may as well give up on that score. I had started knitting a pair of booties for Bea and was going to do them and mail them to you, but I got too frustrated working with that tiny yarn and doing increases and all. I ended up with a tight, knotted up mess. One of my knitting instructors made a copy of my booties pattern and knit a pair to give to someone herself and her's are so cute!!! Rats! I was very selfishly hoped she'd give them to me since it looks now like I'll never get mine finished for Bea, but she didn't offer. So it looks like Bea is left out in the cold. Sorry. At least now you know what was in my heart, anyway. Okay, gotta run, snuggle that baby for me!Marj
