Today I am pleased to bring you a giveaway from a sweet mama named Veronika who introduced my family to Barefoot Books a few months ago.  I have to say that I am impressed with the thoughtful nature of each of the Barefoot titles that we have read, our favorites being “Mama Panya’s Pancakes,” “Listen, Listen,” and “The Girl with the Brave Heart.”  Veronika is sharing a bit about herself and Barefoot Books today:

“I first became involved with Barefoot Books in 2009 because of my daughter’s love of books and my desire to stay at home with her while she is growing up.  I am now very excited to share my love for beautiful books with my daughter and her younger sister.  I love that Barefoot Books offer what I think is essential in life – enthusiasm for reading, creativity and discovery.

My own love for books and reading developed very early on in my life and I remember reading under the covers with a flashlight as a child.  When I was old enough to have a job I sometimes dreamed about being a librarian or working at a bookstore.  It never happened – until now. I am enjoying my time of living Barefoot with my little girls and love bringing Barefoot Books to other families.  I discovered Ginny’s blog through Ravelry when I was browsing the gallery of the Milo pattern, a popular toddler vest.  As a new knitter who loves to wrap her own children in cozy wool, I love Ginny’s creations and feel inspired by what she knits for her family.
